![]() ![]() This deck also runs the side quest Toxic Reinforcements, which provides you with 3 2/1 Leper Gnomes after you use your hero power three times. Lock and Load, while not a damage spell, can provide you with additional Hunter cards each time you cast a spell, providing a way for you to utilize your mana crystals fully in the later game. As a twinspell, Rapid Fire is particularly good at fulfilling the Hunter quest, while Baited Arrow can also provide you with a 5/5 minion should you need one. Arcane Shot, Wound Prey, Kill Command, Rapid Fire, Aimed Shot, and Baited Arrow all provide cheap damage spells that can fulfill the Hunter quest and at the same time clear the enemy board or go face with your opponent. I wanted to see if it was possible to create a deck with only odd cost damage spells to fulfill the Hunter quest and found it was indeed possible. ![]() Aimed Shot is a new spell from United in Stormwind that costs 3 and does 3 damage while giving your next hero power 2 additional damage. With only odd-cost cards in the deck, your hero power deals twice the damage and with the Hunter quest fulfilled, costs 0 and refreshes each time you cast a spell. Scummy behaviour nonetheless. This is a deck revolving around the new Hunter quest Defend the Dwarven District and the powerful wild card Baku the Mooneater. I guess they are more common in these bonus HR quests because these are pretty easy and they're only after the HR bonus. If there was an emergency or whatever, it takes 2 seconds to abandon the mission. It was a fresh mission and he had just fired a flare. And I'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt and assume he had to take a call or whatever. Like what the heck does he expect everyone to do? Cary his lazy butt through the mission? He was standing right at the only available camp, so everyone who loads in sees that he's AFK. He even had this symbol next to his name (the red sign with the white line) that you can set to show you're AFK (you see it in the gathering hub sometimes). Later that day, I joined a Snow and Cherry Blossoms. Surprise, just a minute after I cleared the mission with the leech, I see a new flare. But in MHW I simply did not expect AFKers, that's why I noticed it so late.įine, so I search for flares again. From other games, I am used to checking if people are AFK before I invest effort into the mission. I only noticed by the time we already had captured Anjanath and were nearly done with Rathalos. I think I never ever encountered any up until I started farming some Snow and Cherry Blossoms/Nose for an Eye to jump the last few HR to 100.įirst quest I join, host who fired the flare AFKs in the tent. Although this does not add much to the original post, I hope that it clarifies things. Have you guys seen anything like this before in MHW?Įdit: After reading a couple of threads on how joining quests work, I believe that I joined the available quests instead of looking for quests on the SOS flare. What should I do the next time I encounter something like this? I know the MHW community is normally great and helpful and seeing something like this left a bad taste in my mouth. Now, in my +100 hours of playing MHW, I have never encountered something like this before. The guy captured the monster in the end and the quest was complete.Īfter I got back to the Tradeyard, he started private messaging me on the chat and saying things like "fuck you" and "dont join my quests". I initially brushed it off as some ironic catchphrase and continued the fight. When I first mounted the monster, the auto response from the other guy was along the lines of "nice one idiot". I found the other player and the Rathian and we started fighting it. I accepted the quest and entered the game. I was looking for some optional quests to do on the SOS flair and there was this optional quest to hunt a ink Rathian. So earlier today I was playing a little bit of MHW on the PC. ![]()
